Van posted a phone copy of this last week where he talks about his mom’s near drowning experience here. I finally got a good scan and enhanced the image as much as I could. Maybe we can identity people better now.

  • The girl in the plaid dress on the left is my mom Betty Lou Bucklin (now Landry and mother to Jodie, Rob Landry, Karen Landry Fontenot, Al Landry, me and Jamie Landry Perry), next to her is Alma Bucklin (mother to Rhonda Effron Brown and Charla Quaranta), then Sylvia Bucklin (mother to Larry, Toni Chavez, Paul Pilcher, Lynn Broussard, and Kevin Pilcher), next is generally though to be a Bruchhaus boy (Harley or Laurence?), and then Loris Woolley nee Bucklin (mother of Brent, Keith and Glen). I think Grandma and Grandpa (Myrtle Phenice and Fred Bucklin who are grandparents to John Bucklin, Dale Bucklin, Anita Bucklin and Mary Long (children of Austin and Margaret Bucklin) are back in the shadows to the right of the man by the pole.

  • I think the women all the way on right has to be Effie, wife of Roy Bucklin! Not sure which one is Roy!

  • Next to Effie is Dora Koll Bucklin. Mom and I can’t find Herbert or Roy. I wonder if the guy in the back row with the hat near the middle is Herbert. Too much in the shadows to tell.
