An interesting snippet of information.
That interesting snippet of information is even more interesting now. I just noticed that the commissioner that George Hine is making his proof before is none other than Thomas Lord MacVey. He is the same man that took in my Keys ancestors when they first moved to the US in 1887. Actually he and his wife Rebecca Noble MacVey let the family stay in their chicken house until a house of their own could be built. They were eternally grateful!
